Smoking in London's parks ahould be banned, health advisers tell Boris Johnson | Society | The Guardian



Smoking indoors is pretty much banned everywhere except in the home. Now it looks like public open spaces are the next target.  A strange smoking rule affects taxi drivers.

When a person is driving a taxi and is for hire they are banned from smoking. However, if a person is not driving for hire and is using the taxi socially,collecting the weekly shopping or whatever, the driver is still banned from smoking!  Anybody driving a car, however, is still allowed to smoke.
