If police cause damage or injury,while breaking in to premises of innocent people, they should be sued in civil court for the cost of repairs and any medical bills incurred.
They are sued in Britain, regularly. I suppose that the costs of a lawyer in America make it difficult. The lawyer has to go up against the police department and a phalanx of lawyers, who will time waste with a view to costing you more money in fees.
