Walmart take out and pay life insurance policies, for their staff ,with Walmart named as beneficiary. So withdrawing health over could increase income !!
When they took over ASDA in the Uk, they tried the same 'dead peasant' insurance move. The American unions gave the Uk unions the heads up and Walmart caved in to stop the move.
