Too many people deliberately abuse the Blue Badge system. The allowances,under the system, only apply when the disabled person is in the car or is being picked up by a driver. In other words......
A person going shopping,alone, is not allowed to use free parking spaces. They must have the disabled person with them..
A person, going to pick up a disabled relative, can use all of the allowances in the system.
Many believe that the car is exempt,no matter what. This is not the case. The disabled person is exempt.
