Israel launches military offensive against Gaza | Middle East
I have the feeling that Israel considers other countries will be too busy between ISIS,Summer holidays and financial problems to bother about them taking over all of Gaza.
The land is a secondary interest. They are after the oil and gas fields, off the Gaza coast. A 15 year lease was made.some time ago, with British Gas (60%) doing the off shore drilling, CCC of Lebanon(30%) doing the onshore refining in Egypt and pumping with 10% going to Gaza. Israel and Jordan buy the product,currently.
