Big Wars, between countries, are a  thing of the past. Too many alliances have been made and too many countries have nukes. To begin any kind of World War would be madness.

The new game,for the armchair Generals is surrogate war. This is war in which the local opposition is armed and trained, surreptitiously, to takeover a country from within as opposed to invasion. Both sides are sold arms and both sides sign away all of their assets,n payment,resulting in an empty victory for one side or the other.

Of course, the ideal position is a continual draw, as happened in Angola for nearly 20 years and the  and is happening in Somalia and Ethiopia!!

The big countries get their war games for the Generals, continuous sales for the war complex and minerals, in the bank for later, without body bags coming home,nightly,on the news.
