Not only older people are suffering because of new technology. People,looking for work,must use computers to search for jobs and these searches are noted by gestapo like interviewers who can stop benefits if,in their view, people are not searching enough and often enough.
They do have computers available to use but there are not many of them. Some people just do not know how they work. These folks are sent on computer courses. With the lack of available computers and courses which only show very basic things such as using E Mail how are folks supposed to practice?
A person receiving £65 per week in benefits certainly cannot buy a computer nor can they afford a telephone and an Internet connection. Yet they are continually asked if they have a computer at home as if everybody should have one.
