Fire service forced to release poster showing how NOT to make cheese on toast -



At least modern grill units have timers. The more dangerous problem happens when a person decides to have chips,late at night. They turn on their chip pan and fall asleep on the couch to awaken,if they are lucky,to a fireman carrying them out of a smoke filled room, which may also hav furniture on fire.

I did away with my chip pan and bought a double deep fat fryer unit, which has a timer fitted.I also have a separate grill unit,again with a timer.
