Every Member of Parliament,no matter which political party they support, is a self employed individual. So I can see no point in trying to sue the party which he represented. The poice are supposedly independent and it is up to them,in England and Wales to bring charges. In Scotland,the police forward details to the Procurator Fiscal who may then issue summons to answer charges laid.
