I am against any death penalty. There have been too many errors in the past which, let's face it cannot be corrected. There have been people living on death row in America, who have been released and declared innocent.
However a life sentence, in the Uk or anywhere, should mean exactly that, for life. Not this rubbish of doing 8 years. If an error has been made the person is still alive, at least.
