I have been having a look at this new toy, for dog owners. You load a tennis ball into it and fire it! They say that the ball will travel 75 feet and rover will run and get the ball,bring it back and you fire it off again. I found it for sale,going out of stock fast, at about £17 per unit, including a ball. Who knows what it will cost after taxes in Uk, say £23 if you are lucky. So I got to thinking.......
You could put a water bomb in it. A crap/piss bomb, in it. Nails/shrapnel in a bag,into it or just about anything including a rubber bullet!!! So it fires a tennis ball, which weighs 2 oz. Assuming the best power is at half way,before it drops off,say 30 feet, the force is equal to 1/8 of 30 squared or 112.5 ft lbs. Now a bone can be broken with about 40 ft lbs.!!! This Summer is going to be even more dangerous than normal,it appears.
Should these things be banned in the Uk???
