Rape is NEVER okay. However, I  feel that many victims contribute to their own attacks.  Women dress to attract and when some of them are approached by men, who they don't like, they can be quite verbally vicious, especially after a few sherbets.
They get together in a house, to make up, dress up and down drink, before they even go out for the evening. Nearer the end of the night, they are wasted and only want attractive men to court them. The good looking guys would not go near many off them, dressed in skimpy cloths, which put whatever assets they might have, well into the shop window.
Many men, too, are filled with drink and many feel that they are God's gift. They cannot understand why women don't fall at their feet and should they be chastised and/or verbally abused, the power thing comes out,wildly. They cannot understand why a woman in skimpy attire is not gagging for it!!
So better dress codes and less drink would help a lot all round.
