well the folks who live there should certainly have a vote on whether to stay British or become Argentinian. I don't see the Uk giving up the Falklands or more appropriately the oil and gas fields, offshore,no matter how the vote goes.
Should hostilities break out, the Uk has a big problem.....no aircraft carriers !!! None ! ! So that gives air supremacy to Argentina plus surprise plus boots on the ground on the islands. Not too easy to attack using only a few helicopters with no air cover is just a silly game o play. The helios and ships are just sitting ducks.! So it is going to have to be a mass charge to off load men to the beaches with helicopters hopefully dealing with the opposition.This would have to happen when the Argentine air force was grounded.
