Canadian natives and anti-nuclear activists halt train

PressTV - Canadian natives and anti-nuclear activists halt train

The Scottish Government is considering building a new rail track, from the Douneray nuclear plant in Caithness on the northern coast of Scotland, right down to the Winscale processing plant, in Cumbria on the North West coast of England. The cost is currently estimated at £30 milion, which will obviously rise, steeply, if the plan goes ahead. This is the kind of demo which may take place or worse, a train may be derailed with catastrophic results. The crap is contained in concrete flasks.
Last Summer,a heavy lift ship moved nuclear crap, from the Baltic coast of Germany to Windscale, from a plant which is being decommissioned there, as Douneray as going to be, soon.Surely it is better to move this stuff by ship to avoid demos, drivers strikes, dangers of derailment or the wrong type of snow on the line!
A harbour would have to be built at Douneray which could be opened up for tourism after the work is done.
there is a landing strip up there and tourists could fly up from Glasgow or Edinburgh to join cruise ships going round the Orkney and Shetlands islands, up to the Faroes or across to Norway.
