Why do people climb mountains? Because they are there, is the normal answer. Why do they try to do it in the worst weather? My answer...because they are idiots!! These fatalities happen every year and still people try to beat Mother Nature.
Not only do they risk their on lives, but when they inevitably get into trouble, volunteers and air rescue folks have to go up and try and help them. Personally, I would leave them to it!!!
It is high time that these dangerous sports lunatics were made to carry insurance, consummate with a risk scale involved.Then rescuers could be rewarded, for risking their lives, helping these dimwits.
