BBC News - Giant tidal turbine 'performing well' in tests off Orkney
Scotland is an ideal country to provide both wind and hydro power. A new project is being talked about within the past couple of days about an undersea pipeline and cable link from Scotland to Norway.
As I understand it, we will send electric power, to Norway,which will operate their water hydros and they in turn will send back electric power generated by the hydro. More info when I find it.
