Energy saving light bulbs ‘contain cancer causing chemicals’

We, in the UK, have had these squiggly light bulbs for some time now and it is now illegal to sell the original lamp type, which we all grew up with. Strangely though there is an exception. A mechanic, under your car or any similar inspection like situation, can use the old style bulbs.
They have not to be thrown out with refuse when they expire. They must be taken to specialist shops for disposal. Should one fall and break be extremely careful as the white powder is mercury which is poisonous!!!
Don't touch it or get it on your skin. Wear rubber gloves and sweep it up into a container.Then take the container to the specialist.
