Bus drivers wanting bonus pay for working during the Olympics threaten strike action | Mail Online

It would seem that everybody wants to make money out of the Olympics in London, this year!!  we had the underground drivers threatening to strike unless they got huge bungs. Now the bus drivers in London say that they will strike unless they too get a huge bung!!!
Now I am not anti union. We would still have kids down the mines and women and young girls dipping small bits of wood into sulphur to make matches,without them. However these contrived strikes like air hostesses threatening holiday travel, coal miners used to strike, only in Winter and so on should be made illegal!! if there is a legitimate grievance, which cannot be resolved with arbitration, then fair enough, withdraw labour. But to just try to make extra money due to a big event is ridiculous.It will act against all unions and cause much public resentment.
