It took a long time to figure out that the Achilles heel of having camps in Afghanistan was supplying them. But over the past six months or so many trucks have been burned out. Now that they are all sitting in huge numbers, unable to pass through the Pakistan / Afghan border post, they are very easy targets. Everything comes in, to the camps in Afghanistan, on two roads, the main one from Pakistan and a second longer route, via Russia, which carries about 20%.
