Russia Threatens to Block NATO Supply Route

Pakistan has closed the borders with Afghanistan and so trucks are backed up, going nowhere. The only other road route is a long torturous one through the 'Stans and in from the North. Only 20% of the traffic has been coming that way, with Russian permission. Should they chose to close the route down then Afghanistan will have to be supplied by air. This increased air traffic will provide ideal big targets for the surface to air missiles which went missing in Libya.
