Actually there are a number of legal problems here. If a passenger has no ticket,he/she can pay the fare on the train. This option doesn't appear to have been given to the kid. The big guy is guilty of assault, as the inspector was not being attacked. If a person refuses to get off a train, then the Transport Police must be called out and they can then chose to arrest him/her. Only then can a person be manhandled. He had no legal right to intervene, whatever.
If the kid had money, then he should have been given the pay option, then, if his story is correct about tickets, he may then sort it out at a later date. His bag, apparently, remained on the train.
As the press have made a meal of this, there will definitely be a Court case. Enjoy yer Xmas big man!!!
