I don't bother with sport or fashion or TV crap. This whole Frankie thing on X factor is beginning to look like a set up to get ratings for a very tired old format of a talent show which began at Butlin's holiday camps in the 1950's The camp winner went on to a company finale thing and toured the camps after it all.
Then we had Opportunity Knocks with Hughie Green and Monica Rose, who was, supposedly, taken from the audience for her cheeky patter. He had tried it in Canada as the Ed Sullivan show had done in New York. It failed in Canada, so he pitched it in the Uk. It moved from a Sat to a Sun and they brought in Paula Yeat's dad, Jeff, to play on his organ. They nicknamed him, the Vicar and he got into a bit of trouble with small boys!!!
The Sunday Night at the London Palladium was the big show, but it was getting old and this was cheap, as the competitors came free!!!. That was followed by Stars in their Eyes fronted by ex Palladium man Norman Vaughan. It was one too many and died.
Then Simon just had to unearth the same sort of crap!!!
