In all the Civil Service cut backs, they got rid of all of the investigators, who actually save money and therefore must have been productive by any standards. They rely on jealous people phoning up for a percentage bounty which they only get if they appear in Court. I think they get £50 for just a report and no appearance in Court, as an alternative, if the case is proven. This can take ages and in general, the claimant is just asked to withdraw the claim. They can then put in another claim, the next week, which is treated as a new one and not related. So what do they expect?
