ShipAIS - Latest AIS for AURA
This heavy lift ship is out to play again after a long lay off. I found it being used to transport Nuclear crap from the Baltic coast of Germany where the Lubmin Nuclear Station had been being demolished for 16 years!! The rubbish was going to Windscale in Cumbria in the West of England.
Now she is heading for Kellsnes near Oslo, in Norway, after a long lay up in Rotterdam and in Amsterdam. I shall keep you posted. It is able to carry 5 huge concrete flasks, which encase nuclear rubbish or any heavy lift as required. It is a beautiful ship, google it. It is owned by a company in Finland.
Kellsnes has a huge natural gas processing plant owned by Statoil on the island of Ooy. They process 143 million barrels per day from the Visund, Troll and Kvitebjorn fields. So we shall see.
