The last 'safe' place to smoke a cigarette! I kind of agree with bits of Australia and Canada where smoking is not allowed if there are children in that car. I get that and would agree with that one. But if nobody minds, has health issues, then let them smoke away. I would rather have a calm driver on the road than one who has driven over 100 miles without a ciggie.!!
On that subject of high miles, taxi drivers do a lot. But they are not allowed to smoke at all in the car, even when off duty. A few, in Scotland, got caught out. The taxi,whether working or now is deemed to be a working car. Smoking is not allowed. Drivers taking their wives to supermarkets were arrested when caught smoking.
