So the revolting doors of the Ritz cracker hotel were stopped from revolving by the insertion of a table, during the anti capitalist riots, proving what every body already knew, having watched countless spook movies where the ubiquitous lump of wood jammed the door, perpetrated, by none other than Jimmy Von Bonded, in Casino Royale, among countless others. If they are jammed, for whatever reason, anyone inside would be trapped and in plain sight as a possible target. A simple wooden wedge would have done the same job.
However, any intelligent genius, like me, knows, that you can pull down a level at the top of each panel, in the door and manually swing it open enough to thus gain egress from the situation. This is often carried out for cleaning, as a fire escape, or to move trolley's of luggage through or just provide a draft!!! The panels are spaced in the carousel unit, for exactly these reasons. As they always revolve, clockwise, when the panels are moved, the direction of travel is, to the inside or outside of the building and therefore safety. You could block them from either the inside or outside, to stop people coming in or getting out, but the panels move through almost a full 180 degrees, pivoting on their internal rods. Once they are released from the roof of the revolving door, you may go either way. A bullet discharged or the anonymous blunt instrument though the glass is so passe.!!!
