Parents' fury as Scalby School in Newby lets pupils skip sports day | Mail Online

I never, ever, went to a school sports day, in senior school. In primary, we were marched from the school, to the park in which the sports were held, so we all had to go there..Even in my later years of primary, I would, carefully, lose my heats by coming in in the middle of the pack, so as not to be too obvious and disappear. A day off, at home,was far better than stupid sports.!!
