Now it is attack the sick and disabled time. ! In order to receive DLA a person must fail a medical examination carried out by Doctors. These Doctors receive a report from the claimant's own Doctor and in conjunction with it, put forward a recommendation, under guidelines set out by previous Governments, to provide the benefit or not. Then a committee of civil servants agrees or disagrees. So a claimant must 'fool' his own doctor over time, a Government appointed doctor at an examination and a group of people who've heard it all before and got the teeshirt. It ain't so easy to pull the wool over all of their eyes. Not impossible but not so easy.
Yes, there have been cases of folk who have claimed that they are not be able to walk but have been filmed out being a referee or playing golf. Any system can be beaten. A bad back is totally impossible to disprove!!!
