Craig Whyte tells Rangers board: Pay £2.8m tax bill or deal is in jeopardy

Craig Whyte tells Rangers board: Pay £2.8m tax bill or deal is in jeopardy - The Daily Record

This has turned out as I posted earlier. Whyte needs this deal done before the end of the tax year on 6th April in order to get it into this years accounts and reduce his tax liability. After the 6th of April a deal would go into next years accounts. This deal is going to fail.
I think that HMRC are going to announce, probably Monday, that they want a huge figure in settlement of the outstanding case which Rangers can't pay. So Rangers go into administration for the end of this tax year and every thing is tidy. The administrator can then take a lower bid, as they legally can do and Whyte will buy it all cheaper and without any tax worries. Rangers must either accept his terms and conditions before the end of the tax year or he walks away and buys it cheaper in a month or so from the administrator, picking up a nice asset cheap for the balance Sheet and it gives a nice tax year start. Or he picks it up now and the buy goes into this year's accounts thus reducing his tax payment and so saving him money. The end of the tax year is the smoking gun with the tax case being the bullets. So will they be live or blanks?
