These people who are running the TSA operation have carved out a nice cosy niche for themselves. There are only two ways in which it can go. Either the whole thing will be scrapped which is more and more unlikely or the thing will expand.
I posted some time ago that scanners, never mind TSA Goons, would start to appear at railway stations, bus depots, shopping malls and sporting events. Basically anywhere that a crowd can be checked upon. All of this equipment needs 24/7 365 staff and also to be maintained. It all needs a back office, too. It all has to be built, transported, erected and sold to freedom loving countries. So they will guard their niche, with all that they have, as they see that security has become a growth industry.
They will probably develope their own spook agency to jump in the Alphabet soup with the other croutons.!
