ShipAIS - Current AIS map

ShipAIS - Current AIS map

The River Clyde ships docked and moving in real time at 1730 hrs Monday 10/0/11 You will see a chemical tanker docked at Finnart just now and it's sister ship is waiting, south of Wymss Bay/east of Rothsay, on it leaving to go up to Finnart.
You will see the red track showing direction of travel. The Calmac ferries Argyle and Bute doing the Wymss Bay to Rothsay trip. HMS Blyth is at Gareloch/ Faslane navy base with an Admiralty tug, Dexterous.
Is it any wonder that treasure hunters like Ocean Odyssey complain bitterly that their exact movements can be watched from comfy armchairs by the competition! By the same token they can watch their own competition so why all the crying? The maritime Law states that any ship over 300 tonnes must have a transponder. Needless to say the Navy are allowed to switch theirs off !!!!
You can type in the name of any ship and its position will be shown to you.
