Nearly £100 per week just for going to work ! Then spend 0.5 of an hour getting on the Bat belt and the Bat Gear ! I.5 hours on breaks and up to 4 hours for report and records writing. 0.5 hour getting the Bat Gear off, again. Leaving i.5 hours swanning about in police cars. Criminals are queued up to get arrested waiting for hours on them coming to pick them up. This time is their busiest time, so in order to make the unofficial arrest quota and win the office sweep for most arrests, they use the blue lights and two tones a lot !!
The CID are just as bad. They come up hung over and with indigestion from the curry and the lock in at the local pub the night before. After a few coffees with an added ingredient of their choice, they are ready to roll in about half an hour. Nip down to the local school to attempt to catch any lechers, then a coffee break at 10am and the the pubs are open!! Cure the hangover and have lunch. Fiddle the expenses and find,meet and make a payment to a non existent informant should cover the afternoon and replenish the funds. Then back to the pub for tea time with the curry shop later and maybe pull the bar person to come up later on. The men are just as bad!! What a good number!
Of course not all police officers act in this manner, only the amateurs.! Most play a lot of golf, out of town, most days and attend their Masonic Lodges to have a drink, unseen by the public and then a police car home!! They holiday in friend's villas in the Algarve or Spain and the wife drives a BMW M5. These are the ones worth watching. The amateurs are crass and obvious. Of course there are a small percentage of the police force actually doing a proper job and I for one salute them for it. !
