I very much doubt if an electric car can be driven from London to Edinburgh on electricity alone, as there are not enough public charge points as yet. the drive from A to B is little problem as it is mainly motorway.
Why should garages pay for these installations on their fore courts for very little demand. If demand rises over time I seriously doubt if garages will bother in any case. Why have all these electric cars clogging up the forecourt either on charge or waiting for a charge. More importantly, just how much does it cost, per charge, domestically now and how much will it be commercially? Are electric cars economically viable as an alternate to 'suck, squeeze, bang, blow.!'
