It is all very well having a bit of land. However, Governments now tell you what you can and cannot grow. The name of the game used to be, to collect new seeds produced from crops and reuse them in the following years. This is now illegal in many countries and farmers must buy GM seeds which are only good for one year. Nobody is told how these seeds have been modified and what has been added or taken away from them. Will each year's new seeds be different from the previous years seeds at the whim of the company, the Government or both.? Herbal gardens are becoming illegal too. Big Pharma declared war on herbal medicine as they could get no profit from it or own any patents for the herbs, which occur naturally.
So having land is important as long as you do as your told with it !!!
