I'm sorry I really cannot find any sympathy for cyclists in any way. They should be confined to cycle tracks or how about letting them use the hard shoulder on the motorways? Then when huge lorries pass them the lorry drivers can stay awake and stop reading their paper long enough to see how many that they can blow away with their draft !! What fun!

As more and more pot holes appear after this hard Winter, there will be more and more lycra encased packages turning up at emergency A & E Departments to have metal spokes removed from strange places, after they have swerved, erratically, in front of traffic to dodge the pot holes. Then they wonder why the driver behind them could not anticipate their swerve!!! Insurance rates, due to more car repairs, will rise as no cyclist need bother with insurance.I don't see why they should be on any roadway without having insurance and paying road tax for upkeep of the roads that they moan about and travel on for free !!

Another pet hate of mine, while we are on the subject of wheeled transport are baby buggies!! Do, women, mainly, take courses during pre natal classes, in rubbing these damn things along the sides of cars causing huge score lines in paint work? Or do they just teach their kids, later on, to use all sorts of sharp objects to do the same thing. They get two bites at the cherry in supermarket car parks where they can use the buggy and the trolley in unison !!! They don't have any insurance either. When chastised and asked to watch what they are doing, you either get a mouth full of abuse or the simpering, 'butter wouldn't melt' grin and dead silence.

I wish that I had a tenner for the number of times that I have been passing two stationery buses and a buggy is pushed out from between them! Is this action done in order to see if the road is safe to cross for the adults? If they had insurance they could kill off their unwanted children and make some money out of it too as they obviously don't have a care about the kids safety !!!!The new phenomenon of cyclists towing baby carriages to me is just overkill, but you do get more points if you get the whole rig in one go !!
My nicest fantasy is set in a time when the motorist will have peace and be able to do as they wish. It goes like this.........lying back in comfy car seats, smoking a joint, with one hand, and having some ice cold beer in the cup holders, within easy reach of the other hand. Then after asking the driver to edge in a bit I open the passenger door along the whole line of the Tour de France as we pass them !!! Then turn round and get all the mothers/fathers crowding round with their damn baby buggies on the way back!!!. Oh bliss, if only !
