If there was every any doubt in anybody's mind about who actually rules the country then this article must dispel it! The Bamkers would not get their bonuses not now, not ever again, was the battle cry and many believed it would happen. it didn't and it won't in the future either.
The Government has been told to 'go sit in the corner and suck it.' They have caved in to the Bamkers who will pay themselves as much as they can get away with !!!!
Neither a Country nor a Government can operate without money moving. Money moves at the whim of the Bamkers. Had the Government gone for regulation of bonuses, money wold have moved rather more slowly than it does already.! This would have brought total chaos to the money system Big Standing Order payments could be late thus incurring penalties for the payee with his lender. In most cases it is up to the payee to make sure his payment is made on time. He has a separate contract with Bamkers, for them, to provide the service of paying, for a fee, of course. So in that case, they get a fee, from you, for costing you, extra money in penalty charges. !!!! Just try and get the penalty money out of them
No, their was no way that the Government can attack Bamkers in their pockets! and I am sure they knew that going in. However it was a very popular decision to try it and it made them look good. People forget, so soon, anyway.
