Much of Africa was, at one time, under the control of many European powers. Britain had Kenya, Rhodesia, South Africa. France had the Ivory Coast, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. Italy held sway too as did Belgium and Holland. Now they are all independent and having their own manufactured struggles for leadership.
