Well I thought that Tommy Sheridan and Gail "sunglasses" Sheridan where going to be found guilty this time.
If there ever needed to be a stereotype of a gangsters moll, it is she.
Tommy used the same game plan as he did during his last big Court appearance by sacking his legal team. However they have both been seen with a very high priced lawyer, Anwar Sarwar of Belltrami Sarwar Solicitors, in tow every day. Now a "Mackenzie man" is not allowed in Sottish Courts and so he decided to represent himself, again, so why the lawyer?
This sacking of the legal team results in a defendant being giving more leeway than he/she otherwise would have if represented. The judge/sheriff acts for the defendant in matters of law but the defendant is normally allow to stray off the point a lot while questioning all of the witnesses both for and against them.
Gail, blew out of Court last week a free woman in fun fur and sunglasses with charges dropped against her. No doubt she hightailed it to a divorce lawyer after hearing what Tommy has been up to on his away days! Now six charges have been dropped against him. But unless the jury box is full of people from Pollock housing scheme, where Tommy came from, then I don't see him getting off this time! Then there is Gail to be reckoned with later.
