The police "guarding" Big Chuck were on a separate frequency from the normal police band and did not know about the riots. This is the excuse coming out now. Were they deaf and blind too? I am sure that chanting could be heard and surely they noticed a mob in Regent Street or is being observant not part of their training.
Heads must roll over this incident. The head of the Royal Protection Service has escaped in the past but this time off with his head!
Theresa "shoes" May, Home Secretary, might just escape but the Met police Commissioner is on a very sticky wicket because after all the buck stops there in his office .
