Israel wants rid of Gaza for one reason only in my opinion..........greed in two parts.
The first part is the extra land that Gaza will provide to build right to the Mediterranean. However the second part is less obvious but much easier to understand. Off shore from Gaza is a huge Natural Gas and Oil deposit. Currently there is a 15 year lease allowing drilling and extraction. The three parties being British Gas(60%), CCC of Lebanon(20%) and a Gaza Trust (10%). Israel is buying that gas at commercial rates and they want it all to themselves !!
